Icoane și flori, gândul Elenei Gheorghe în preajma Floriilor, se materializează prin această expoziție de pictură deschisă într-o zi de duminică, 28 mai 2023.

Elena, sculptorul galeriei, aduce de data aceasta în expoziție o serie de icoane începută în 2013, odată cu ucenicia ei pe șantierul bisericesc unde a lucrat sub îndrumarea pictorului Daniel Codrescu. În momentul de față ea este masterandă la Facultatea de Teologie din București, la secția de Artă Sacră, specializare ce corespunde dublei sale vocații de om credincios și artist prolific. Astfel, ne regăsim în fața unei diversități de tehnici dobândite, de la schițele cu figuri bizantine la icoanele pe lemn, pe sticlă și chiar frescă. Cele câteva picturi cu flori ale Elenei sunt ofrande închinate Mântuitorului.

Cărora li se adaugă florile Nadinei Pascariu, gata adunate în spațiul galeriei începând tot cu vreo 10 ani în urmă, cu așa numita „Lume de dincolo de flori” observată de criticul de artă Pavel Șușară în uleiurile cu imortele din 2014. La care s-au mai adăugat în anii din urmă o serie de pasteluri și acuarele florale, picturi lucrate în plein-air sau, mai rar, ca simple naturi statice de atelier. Acestea sunt lucrări ce pentru prima oară își găsesc prilejul de a fi expuse, în cadrul conceptului liturgic care preamărește Lumina și Învierea cea mare, reflectată în cele mai mărunte, precum o floare sau un moment de inspirație. Lumina increată și cea care ne bucură simțurile și ne aduce culorile și pictura.

 

The painting exhibition “Icons and Flowers” was conceived by Elena Gheorghe at the time of Palm Sunday and opened on a Sunday, May 28th.

Elena, the sculptor of the gallery, participates this time with a series of Byzantine icons that she started in 2013, together with her apprenticeship on the church site where she worked under the guidance of the painter Daniel Codrescu. At the moment she is a master student at the Faculty of Theology in Bucharest, at the Sacred Art section, a specialization that corresponds to her double vocation as a faithful person and a prolific artist. Thus, we find ourselves in front of a diversity of acquired techniques, from the sketches with angels and saints to the icons on wood panel, glass and even fresco. Elena’s paintings with flowers are offerings dedicated to the Savior.

To which we added Nadina Pascariu’s flowers, already gathered in the space of the gallery starting about 10 years ago, with the so-called ”World beyond flowers” observed by the art critic Pavel Șușară in the oil paintings with everlastings from 2014. In the later years, it was added to these a series of floral pastels and watercolours, plein-air paintings or, more rarely, still lifes created inside the studio. Artworks that for the first time find the opportunity to be exhibited, within the liturgical concept that glorifies the great Light and Resurrection, reflected in the smallest ones, like a flower or a moment of inspiration. The uncreated light and the one that delights our senses and brings us colours & painting.
